I have been using a cast-iron frying pan for years..the best way to clean it is to wash real good in hot soapy water. Rinse well and place on the store with the burner on high. Leave the pan on the burner until all the moisture is gone.Turn the burner off and allow the pan to sit until cooled off. NEVER put cast-iron cookware in the dishwasher. The reason food taste so good cooked in cast-iron is when heated the cast iron soaks up the flavors of foods. It is the combinations of all this food that makes the food so good!!!
