When I cook it gets black gummy soot all over the bottom of the pan. What causes this. Some say my flame is to high but even on low it does it.
The burner isn’t getting enough air.A suggestion
lift up the top of your stove some tops or on hinges some are not . The burners have an air mixer tube running from the burner it self to the orfice where the gas comes out of the supply line at that point there is an adjustment. in the center is a round hole that fits on the orfice on eather side of that round hole you will see another opening in a moveable cover with a small screw holding it in place losen the screw
and twist the cover to make the openings larger
a small adjustment at a time . try this this on the burner making the most soot . adjust untill the flame is blue . if it works do the other burners if not you need to call your propane dealer and have them check your stove out.
