		<description>White spots are salt residue.  Pour some vinigar and fill the pot with water.  Let stand for a while.  Rinse.  It will shine like new.

If the brown spots are rust then I would buy myself another pot.&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>

		<description>If they are steel plated aluminum, the dark spots mean the steel has worn down, and the aluminum is showing.  I&#039;d get rid of them.

If they are solid steel, get some steel wool, and polish those pans until they have almost a mirror finish.  Wash them out with soap and a soft scrubbing pad after use.
