put ketchup on the bottom and let sit for a few hours and wash.....it'll come off

Carbonization.

Oxidation can occur too – scarry, right? Anyway if you are looking for a way to clean it – use a non abrasive cleanser like liquid comet.

its called "CARBONIZATION" apparently you arent using stainless steel cookware
